Check the GPIO Zero¶

If you are a Raspberry Pi 5 Python user, you can program GPIOs with API provided by GPIO Zero.

GPIO Zero is a module for controlling Raspberry Pi GPIO pins. This package provides a range of user-friendly classes and functions to control GPIO on a Raspberry Pi. For examples and documentation, visit: https://gpiozero.readthedocs.io/en/latest/.

Test whether GPIO Zero is installed or not, type in python:

In Python CLI, input import gpiozero, If no error prompts, it means GPIO Zero is installed.
