Install the Batocera Linux

Batocera.linux is an open-source and completely free retro-gaming distribution that can be copied to a USB stick or an SD card with the aim of turning any computer/nano computer into a gaming console during a game or permanently.

You can choose the installation method based on whether you have a Micro SD or an NVMe SSD at hand.

Using a Micro SD Card Only

If you are using a Micro SD card, you can simply follow the first method below.

Using an M.2 NVMe SSD

  • If you are using an M.2 NVMe SSD, you will also need an M.2 NVMe SSD Enclosure Adapter to connect your SSD to your computer and follow the second method to install the OS.
